Lost Diagrams Ready!

Hey all,

Again, I want to thank you for all the wonderful feedback that I've been getting from all over the world. I can't really tell you how much it means to me to be able to get a sense of how much joy this project is generating for people. Today I shipped 50 copies to a dealer in France and a teacher in Japan wants to use it as a text book for an upcoming course. It feels so good to know that all the attention and care I put into the project is really having an impact.

So, with that I present the "final" piece of the original commitments for fulfillment -- The Lost Diagrams

I'm honestly feeling a little vulnerable sending this out to everyone... it is NOT Creating Origami, and it's not meant to be so. It's more like a collection of "B-Sides" for the sake of fans who are interested in seeing what didn't make the cut into the final book... and what happened after the book was published.

Many of the best diagrams I ended up releasing to you already as stretch-goals and extra promotions during the campaign... so in some cases, you'll see earlier versions of what's already been released before I cleaned them up for y'all. There are also early examples of diagrams in different versions - for example a Andrea's Rose presented in both 4 and 2 page versions. If you're wanting more detail about my motivation/feeling around the book please do take the time to read the Artist's Note at the beginning of the book.

That said, there are many diagrams which I think are real gems, some which have never been released in any form including 3 models from LaFosse's original "Planes for Brains" video tape and a wonderfully fun "Cymbal Monkey" action fold that was taught to me at convention and who no one seems to have any idea who invented. There is the work of Gabriel Willow, a young creator with a love of zoology who was a creator of extremely beautiful and lyrical works and of course a few gems by deg farrelly. Also, it ended up being 100 pages, rather than the originally anticipated 20 or so... so I hope that everyone finds at least one model in the book which you think is fun. If that occurs I think we definitely have "A Win!" :-)

As before, the document is in the secure section of the creatingorigami server. Passwords are the same as well, just your e-mail and "kickstart707"
