Nearly ready to ship!

Everything seems to be coming together here in Lapinland in preparation for doing real live shipping!  Our first 300 books were ordered last Sunday and are due to arrive Friday, the tee shirts arrived today and they look GREAT and I spent most of Sun/Mon/Tues getting all the unicorns finished up and they are looking awesome as well.

I took lots of photos but here's just a few.  I love that last one... it reminds me of the outdoor seafood markets in Bangkok and the random baskets of various unrecognizable things with lots and lots of legs... only this time - candy colored!

On other news I've finally finished the article in "The Fold" on the SIP Genealogy - you can see that at http://origamiusa.org/node/2144. The document includes updated diagrams (I added a third page of the assembly instructions) and a LONG history of where the model actually came from.  Big thank you's to everyone, particularly Robert Lang, Sara Adams and Francesco Mancini for help sorting out all the research.

I've been intending on sending out updates at least once a week but once again find myself in the position of being SO busy trying to pull everything together that I just don't seem to find the time to put the kind of attention that I like to put into my postings... but lots of good news brewing so, again, just a quick one.

Just working out some final details -- but if the postage gods are benevolent we should start shipping soon! :-)

BTW - Did anyone attempt any of the diagrams in the issue of "The Origamian" I sent out and more intriguing... was anyone successful?  That Stellate Octahedron was a real monster...
